RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role is to care for Level 2 and Level 3 patients across a wide range of cases. You will provide a high standard of care to patients while working as part of a team and also delegating work to junior staff members.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting into the senior staff nurses and the ward manager will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit. You will work to ensure that the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each patient is in line with evidence-based practices. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Working as part of the team you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks daily while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.


REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

·Be a registered Nurse with a Nursing Degree.
·Valid NMC registration.
·Experience of working in Critical Care.
·1-year post grad experience working in an ICU department or acute high dependency unit
·Experience with IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation, as well as experience of dealing with complex care patients, Level 2 & 3.
·Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
·Excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
·An innate attention to detail with a strong ability to work well under pressure.
