THE OPPORTUNITY:

Specialist Screening Practitioners – Nationwide
TTM are actively seeking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses Band 6 to join dynamic teams across the UK for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Health promotion and encouraging patients to attend the Screening Programme is part of the role. You will be spending time with the patients and following their care pathway from assessment and treatment, to discharging them from the programme

YOUR CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be expected to work within a small team of motivated nurses and administrative staff, and also be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload. As a Screening Practitioner you will be making decisions during the Specialist Screening Practitioner clinics, liaising with different disciplines, attending Multidisciplinary Team meetings, and taking advice to ensure that patients are booked for their tests in a safe and efficient manner.

YOUR EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nursing Degree
NMC Registration
Extensive post registration experience is essential and a sound knowledge of disease processes is required.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

Eligibility for the role includes:
A minimum of 1+ years nursing experience with NMC registration.
Competent and adequate record keeping and possess strong communication and IT skills.
Experience of nursing within specialist areas such as renal, cardiology and haematology services etc. would be a definite advantage as you will be responsible for assessing patient suitability and fitness to have a colonoscopy or CT Colonography.
