RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in an office environment on a Monday to Friday shift pattern your role will involve performing a robust telephonic medical assessment of client employees through the collection of medical, logistical and collateral histories pertaining to the medical event/incident specifically related to COVID-19


CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your role as a Nurse Advisor will involve carrying out medical assessments to provide tailored and relevant medical advice, referrals and recommendations that supports the client's employees. This advice will be around patient education regarding COVID-19, assessment and referral for COVID-19 testing, advise and education on isolation and quarantine, medical assessment and follow up up and contact tracing. You will provide these assistance services over telephone or video conferencing. Your day to day role as a Nurse Advisor will involve working to ensure appropriate case direction and handling, ensuring safety, medical appropriateness, client specific considerations and cost effectiveness. You will be responsible for effective and efficient medical management of cases ensuring to liaise with medical and operational staff when required. You will be required to keep up to date with rapidly changing health trends, endemic health risks, pandemics and their impact on local health infrastructure. You will work to promote the need for evidence based medical decision making and advice with clear and accurate record keeping. You will also be assigned other duties as and when required by senior members of staff within the Nurse Advisor team.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nursing Degree
NMC Registration is a must for this role


REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

Have at least 2+years working in an acute setting
A broad medical knowledge is required along with strong background in assessing patients and excellent communication skills.
Have an innate attention to detail with a strong ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge with strong customer service experience.
Be able to adapt easily to situations and be a good team player.

Salary:£38,000 p/a (however this is a FTC for 4-6 months)

Working hours are Monday to Friday, office based. Working from Home option can also be considered for strong candidates
