At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of the fastest growing Dialysis companies in the UK based in Wolverhmapton. They have an available opportunity for a registered general nurse to join their Dialysis team. They aim to provide all the necessary treatment for patients from Peritoneal Dialysis to Haemodialysis. Although experience is this field would be an advantage, full training is offered to nurses with an interested in working in this specialist area. The overall responsibility within this role will be reporting to the unit manager working as a Registered Nurse for Dialysis you will be responsible for assessing the care needs to the patients, considering current and previous lifestyle. You will work with the team to ensure an adequate care plan is implemented.
Your Clinical Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of care programmes for renal patients including the initiation and termination of dialysis, whilst providing stable clinical care, emotional support and independence for patients
• Follow the tailored care plans to administer medications, fluid therapy or other appropriate treatments as per Consultant instructions and ensuring clinical activity is appropriately documented in the patient medical record
• Review pre and post haemodialysis care with patient
• Discuss health concerns with patient; review any concerns with the multi-disciplinary team as necessary
• Prepare and monitor dialysis machines and systems inline with company procedures
• Monitor dialysis water treatment system for use according to the established procedures
• Act as a named staff nurse for a group of assigned patients ensuring great care is provided at all times
• Proactively participate in quality and service improvement programmes
