They have an available opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work on their surgical plastics and reconstructive ward, with excellent experience, skills and knowledge. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your role will involve working across plastics and cosmetic surgery dealing with patients pre and post op. You will have experience in ECG, Phelebotomy, Wound Care and Wound Care Management.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working alongside the Senior Staff Nurses on the ward, as a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Your responsibility will cover all aspects of acute patient care, taking full responsibility for individual patient care by using the Roper, Logan and Tierney models. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly and work in accordance with Clinical Governance and COSHH guidelines. Working as a Staff nurse and as part of the team you will be competent in Phlebotomy, management of patients undergoing Parental and Enteral feeding, patients with stomas, epidural pain and PCA management. You will carry out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will competently manage post operative patients following Plastics and Reconstructive surgery. You may also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff and you will work to ensure confidentiality is adhered to at all times.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nursing Degree
NMC Registration


REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

• Have at least 6 months post graduation experience and a valid NMC registration
• Have experience of working in a surgical setting with strong wound care management expereince
• Have experience in BLS
• Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
