THE OPPORTUNITY:

Registered Nurse-Surgical Ward


THE BACKGROUND:

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The overall responsibility within this role is to work across the surgical ward dealing with patients pre and post-operative.


YOUR CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Working alongside the Senior Nurses as a Registered Nurse on the ward you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Your responsibility will cover all aspects of acute patient care, often including comorbidity and post-surgery recovery. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly. Working as part of the team as a Registered Nurse you will be competent across Venepuncture, Cannulation and Phlebotomy, carrying out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff.  


YOUR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Nursing Degree 
NMC Registration 


THE REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:
  • Have at least 6 months experience working in a surgical setting
  • You will have experience with IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation however training can be offered in certain areas if necessary to enthusiastic candidates
  • Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Work as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
