TTM Healthcare are currently working with an NHS Trust located in Harlow, Essex, in search of 10 x Band 5 Radiographers. These roles have an accelerated career progression pathway to BAND 6.
It's an exciting time to join the Radiology department; the service has recently expanded, and you will be actively involved with new developments and innovations within the specialty of Radiology and help to promote change.
The department provides 24/7 cover for emergencies and operates a 7 day working rota, so candidates will be expected to cover any 7.5 hour or 12 hour shift between 8am-8pm.
Weekday night shifts are also part of the standard rota. Participation in the on-call rota will also be expected.
Duties:
•The safe use of x-ray equipment within the department and around the hospital, including on wards and in theatre
•To undertake the positioning, manipulation and handling of patients (within the Manual Handling Protocols) to obtain diagnostic x-ray images. . This may include light to moderate lifting
•To be able to recognise when an image is diagnostic
•To be able to recognise gross pathology on radiographic images and expedite reporting process if necessary, identifying noted fractures with
"Red Dot" as appropriate.
•You will also be responsible for the supervision of Assistant Practitioners and Undergraduate Student Radiographers.
You will be:
•Qualified HCPC Registered Radiographer
•Good organisational skills
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Patient-oriented attitude.
•Ability to work under pressure and concentrate on tasks in a busy environment.
