Clinical Nurse Specialist - Breast Care

Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist for our prestigious private hospital - the Cromwell Hospital.
The Breast Care Nurse will work together with the Consultant Nurse as a professional resource to the multi-professional team, patients, and carers. You will be able to work independently in supporting and advising patients undergoing surgery and follow up treatment for conditions relating to breast disease and provide support to the Cancer Survivorship Program.
Role
·Act as patient's advocate in promoting and delivering the highest standard of nursing care, ensuring all fundamentals of care are addressed and current relevant policies and procedures are adhered to
·Offer support and guidance to patients undergoing treatment for breast conditions
·Highly provide specialist advice and information to patients, carers and the Breast Multi-Disciplinary Team
·Promote and enhance evidence-based practice, ensuring care delivered follows local and national guidelines.
·Manage the service within the allocated budget and work with the lead nurse in developing new or related services to enhance the patient experience
Requirements
·Registered Nurse Adult/ RN
·Teaching/assessing qualification
·Evidence of recent appropriate clinical practice in urology, oncology or palliative care
·Working experience in breast care
·Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
·Teaching/training experience, evidence of continuing professional development
